Making is the production of relations through material events. What I think is emerging is an ontology of making. The clay isn’t the subject. The object isn’t the outcome. My recent work in the studio.  I’m working on creating a body of work for a staff show in October.  Using crude Ohio stoneware, throwing on a Korean-style kickwheel, and planning to fire in a high-fire gas kiln in reduction to cone 9.
